About the role

Senior Director to lead and develop the finance team for Anduril’s Frontier Systems division, coordinating strategic and operational financial leadership to drive capital allocation, program profitability, and financial rigor across the division.

Responsibilities

  • Build, lead, and develop a team of finance managers and analysts, elevating financial support across business lines
  • Serve as strategic advisor to business line and division leaders, translating financial analysis into resourcing, tradeoff, and operational decisions
  • Guide production and engineering partners in defining KPIs and evaluating performance against productivity and profitability targets
  • Build and pressure-test long-term business cases behind the division’s bets (new IP, facility investments, major program pursuits)
  • Inform the division’s long-range plan by translating production ramps, R&D investment, and contract timing into scenario-based outcomes
  • Benchmark against peers to sharpen the division’s unit economics, efficiency, and capital allocation
  • Partner with Growth to shape pricing structures and new commercial models
  • Direct planning for headcount, capital, and operating expense
  • Own working capital forecasts and capital expenditure tracking across product lines and contracts
  • Ensure supply chain financial commitments are tracked and governed as the business scales
  • Oversee program financial management including reporting, invoicing, and monthly status
  • Partner with accounting to ensure rigorous financial close across the division

Qualifications

  • 15+ years of progressive finance experience, including FP&A leadership at a high-growth company
  • Ownership of full planning cycle (long-range planning, annual operating planning, rolling forecasts)
  • Strong command of hardware/product economics (unit cost, gross margin, inventory, working capital, cash implications of building physical products)
  • Experience preparing materials for and presenting to senior leadership
  • Track record of hiring and developing finance teams and driving process improvement via first principles problem solving
  • Proven ability to operate as a strategic business partner across functions, earning trust and influencing decisions
  • Fluency in underlying financial detail with ability to build and defend models
  • U.S. Person status and eligibility to obtain a security clearance
