About the role

Director-level role responsible for architecting and executing the sourcing strategy and procurement operations across indirect commodities, partnering with Engineering, Quality, Manufacturing, and Executive Leadership to ensure supply continuity, cost optimization, and strategic vendor partnerships.

Responsibilities

  • Enterprise Supply Chain Vision & Strategy: Architect and execute multi-year category strategies across indirect domains including Software/SaaS, IT & Cloud Infrastructure, Advanced Manufacturing CapEx, Professional Services, and Contingent Workforce programs.
  • Team Leadership & Scale: Build, mentor, and lead a high-performing team of commodity managers, strategic sourcing leads, and technical sourcing engineers across multiple global sites.
  • Supplier Relationship Management: Establish formal SRM programs for strategic tier-1 indirect partners, conducting Quarterly Business Reviews and driving continuous service improvements and innovation.
  • Cross-Functional Executive Alignment: Serve as trusted advisor to Executive Staff, CIO, CFO, General Counsel, and Department Heads; align indirect spend strategies with budgets, roadmaps, and headcount plans; provide regular executive reviews and act as primary escalation point.
  • Commercial & Strategic Negotiations: Lead negotiations for MSAs, development agreements, long-term supply agreements, and complex SOWs; optimize pricing, IP protection, warranties, terms, and lead-time commitments.
  • Procure-to-Pay (P2P) & Process Scale: Mature enterprise S2P and P2P workflows (Coupa, Zip, NetSuite, SAP); streamline contracts, approvals, onboarding.
  • Supply Chain Resilience & Risk Mitigation: Ensure vendors comply with data privacy, governance, and defense standards (InfoSec, CMMC, FedRAMP, SOC 2, ITAR).
  • Cost Architecture & TCO Modeling: Implement spend analytics, TCO frameworks, and demand management to optimize licenses, reduce rogue spend, and improve utilization.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Supply Chain Management, Information Systems, or related field.
  • 10+ years of indirect strategic sourcing, global commodity management, or supply chain leadership in fast-paced environments.
  • 5+ years building, managing, and scaling procurement or supply chain teams.
  • Proven experience negotiating multi-million enterprise software/SaaS agreements, large-scale CapEx projects, and complex professional services contracts.
  • Experience managing supplier lifecycles and negotiating complex multi-million-dollar agreements.
  • Expertise in modern procurement systems (Coupa, Zip, Ariba), CLM tools, and spend analytics.
