About the role

Quality Systems Engineer to develop and manage the QMS, drive regulatory and NATO/STANAG compliance, implement QMS software across UK/US sites, and lead audits and continuous improvement within Anduril’s London facility and global quality initiatives.

Responsibilities

  • Develop, lead, and manage the execution of the QMS and its top-level processes. Coordinate resources and prioritization of tasks to complete internal and external audits of the QMS.
  • Develop, lead, and manage the execution of the QMS software implementation and adoption across Anduril sites, including the London facility. Coordinate resources and prioritization of tasks to complete implementation, internal and external audits of the QMS.
  • Ensure full compliance with UK regulatory requirements, including UK MOD DEF STANs, UKCA marking where applicable, and relevant UK HSE regulations for defense manufacturing environments.
  • Drive compliance with NATO STANAGs for aerospace quality (4107, 4159, 4161) and associated AQAPs (2110, 2210, 2310).
  • Conformance to STANAG 4404 and AQAPs for software-intensive aerospace systems (including AQAP-2210) as applicable to Lattice OS and embedded mission systems.
  • Support implementation of STANAG 4685 (Airworthiness) requirements related to QA for UAS and aerospace components.
  • Liaise with UK MOD QA representatives, DQA, and NATO QA authorities to support GQA activities and audits.
  • Partner with business systems, product quality, and manufacturing engineers to prepare new processes, digital tools, and sites to meet QMS requirements; develop capabilities and conduct internal audits before manufacturing readiness and production readiness reviews.
  • Develop internal QMS road map for tools and capabilities to scale with the company (UK Export Control and ITAR/EAR interface requirements).
  • Ensure compliance with UK data protection requirements (UK GDPR / Data Protection Act 2018) regarding quality records, supplier data, and audit documentation.
  • Become a systems expert for Anduril’s quality tools, processes, and data sets for QMS execution across US and UK operations.
  • Communicate with external audit bodies (UKAS, NATO QA authorities) and support customer audits as necessary.
  • Manage the QMS internal audit program and lead internal audits.
  • Identify and implement continuous improvement opportunities aligned with AS9100, NATO AQAP, and STANAG frameworks.
  • Support investigations, initiatives, and projects at team/organization level.
  • Support developing QMS training modules and packages (UK/NATO-specific) and facilitate training records retention.
  • Drive root cause analysis and corrective action from audits and customer visits (UK MOD and NATO findings).

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • 3–5 years of experience in aerospace and/or defence manufacturing.
  • Expert knowledge of QMS requirements and auditing in complex product environments (ISO 9001:2015, AS9100D, AS9110C, AS9120B, AS6500, IATF 16949:2016, ISO 13485:2016, TL 9000 R6.3).
  • Demonstrable knowledge of STANAGs for aerospace quality (4107, 4159, 4161) and AQAPs (2110, 2210, 2310).
  • Familiarity with UK MOD DEF STANs and GQA processes.
  • Understanding of UK regulatory frameworks for defence manufacturing (Export Control Act 2002, HSE, UKCA/CE).
  • Working knowledge of QMS software solutions (e.g., Net Inspect, Siemens, SAP, ETQ, One Factory, MasterControl, Compliance Quest, Hexagon, PTC, QT9).
  • Hands-on experience with data analytics, reporting, and basic data visualization.
  • Project management experience for software system implementation and onboarding suppliers and internal users.
  • Knowledge of ERP, PLM, and BI systems.
  • Strong ownership mindset and proven track record implementing QMS.
  • Right to work in the United Kingdom.
  • Expected travel up to 20%, including travel to US facilities and NATO partner sites.
