About the role

Senior Engineering Manager to lead the Cashalo engineering team (Philippines) for Tilt. 100% remote role based in Singapore, with travel 4-6 times/year. Owns cross-market, ambiguous problems and brings engineering/product patterns from other Tilt markets.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the functional leader for Cashalo, embedded in day-to-day partnership with the local GM.
  • Lead an existing 11-12 person backend and mobile engineering team, continuing to drive high performance.
  • Own ambiguous, multi-stakeholder business problems—running and reading several concurrent, interdependent experiments—through to resolution.
  • Bring proven engineering and product patterns from other Tilt markets into Cashalo, balancing proven patterns with regional requirements.

Qualifications

  • Deep, demonstrated experience building and leading high-performing engineering teams.
  • Product-first orientation - comfortable operating where technology already works.
  • Ability to tackle broad, multi-stakeholder problems, identify root causes, align groups, and drive solutions.
  • Experience in startup/scrappy environments.
  • Experience leveraging AI in day-to-day workflow, building and using agents as a default.
  • Ability to engage in robust technical discussions with Staff+ Engineers even after moving away from day-to-day coding.
