About the role

Design and operate the technical layer of Kraken's AI platform, enabling governance, integration, spend controls, data handling policies, and enablement tooling across the organization.

Responsibilities

  • Design and build the technical layer of the AI platform, from integration surface to production runbook.
  • Own the governed integration gateway as an engineering surface, including connector onboarding, authentication flows (OAuth and federated identity), reliability, and vendor escalation.
  • Build internal tooling that extends the platform (agent scaffolding, reusable skills and prompt assets, evaluation harnesses, provisioning automation, integrations with systems of record).
  • Configure and operate tiered spend controls across the AI estate (set caps, alerting, exception queues, monthly reconciliations, mitigate single author risk).
  • Implement technical controls behind data handling, retention, and model eligibility (identity integration, SSO/SCIM, entitlement by role/tier, workspace configuration).
  • Collaborate with teams to unblock workflows by building or configuring enabling tools.
  • Run technical enablement (tool rollouts, office hours for model releases, manage engineering knowledge base material).
  • Administer the enterprise AI estate end to end (model turn ups, feature enablement, deprecation, provisioning queue, vendor configurations, seat true ups).

Qualifications

  • Enterprise SaaS administration at 1,000+ seats, ideally including an AI or LLM platform.
  • Proven ability to build and ship working software; proficient in Python or similar language; experience with version control, CI, containers, and secrets management.
  • Experience integrating with LLM and SaaS APIs; familiarity with agent and tool use patterns (e.g., MCP or equivalent tool calling architectures).
  • Working knowledge of identity and access management (Okta or equivalent IdP, OAuth, SCIM, SSO, federated machine identity).
  • Operational discipline (intake queues, SLAs, runbooks, escalation hygiene, documenting fixes).
  • Strong written and verbal communication for technical documentation, runbooks, and policy pages.
  • Judgment to distinguish needed capabilities from transient demos.
