About the role

Kraken Pro Community Lead responsible for building and growing a trader-focused community around Kraken Pro. Be an active participant in crypto trading communities, run AMAs and events, develop ambassador programs, and translate community feedback into product improvements.

Responsibilities

  • Live in the trenches across Discord, Telegram, X, TradingView, Reddit, and group chats; participate actively rather than merely monitor channels.
  • Be the fastest voice in the room during market events; post with speed and accuracy when the market moves.
  • Build and run an ambassador and power-user program targeting market makers, quant desks, and high-volume traders.
  • Run community programs publicly (AMAs, live trading sessions, feature launches, competitions, post-mortems). Own the format.
  • Serve as the liaison between community and Product; collect receipts on issues and communicate back to community.
  • Create content that is shareable (threads on microstructure, feature teardowns, release notes that read clearly).
  • Show impact with metrics (sentiment, share of voice, community-sourced signups, retention) and bring numbers to the table.

Qualifications

  • 3+ years running community or social for a product with a technical, skeptical audience (crypto, fintech, gaming, or dev tools).
  • Experience with trading concepts (funding rates, maker/taker economics, slippage, latency) and ability to discuss them without glossaries.
  • Strong writing skills (short-form and long-form) and fast-paced communication style.
  • Thick skin, good instincts, and ability to de-escalate without becoming corporate; know when to push back.
  • Proven track record of building something from a standing start, not just maintaining an existing account.
  • Ability to operate without a rigid brief and make decisions quickly in a fast-moving environment.
