About the role
Cloud Infrastructure & Security Engineer role at Vendra focusing on building a reliable, automated cloud foundation, deploying scalable systems, and embedding security into operations for an AI-native manufacturing procurement platform.
Responsibilities
- Get familiar with AWS infrastructure, applications, deployment workflows, and data systems; identify reliability, security, and deployment improvements; remove manual steps and recurring infrastructure issues; review production access, secrets management, monitoring, and backups; take ownership of cloud deployments and CI/CD pipelines; make deployments repeatable, observable, and rollback-friendly; manage infrastructure as code; strengthen cloud security through least-privilege access, network isolation, encryption, secrets management, and audit logging; implement monitoring and alerting; provide engineers automated deployment and operations capabilities; help define and evolve cloud architecture; establish backup/recovery procedures and incident-response runbooks; automate vulnerability detection, patching, and security checks; support application security, data access, and AI workflows; document controls for customer security reviews.
Qualifications
- 2+ years of relevant experience in cloud infrastructure, DevOps, platform engineering, SRE, or security engineering
- Operated production systems on AWS (compute, networking, IAM, storage, databases)
- Experience crafting and debugging systems with AI tools integration
- Proficient with Python, TypeScript, Bash or similar languages
- Experience with infrastructure-as-code tools such as Github Actions, Pulumi, CDK, or CloudFormation
- Understanding of Linux, DNS, TLS, and networking
- Experience with monitoring, logging, alerting, backups, and incident response
- Ability to document decisions and build observable, scalable systems
- Strong engineering judgment and willingness to learn; degree not required
