About the role

Role designed for new grads to learn how a fast-growing marketplace operates by owning a high-growth category from day one, with a path to specialization after two years.

Responsibilities

  • Go-to expert of your category: become the go-to expert on seller/buyer dynamics, community channels, influencers, and product nuances; be the face of Whatnot for the community of sellers and buyers you represent
  • Seller outreach and onboarding: Source and reach out to sellers to convince them to join and grow their business on Whatnot; leverage social media, outbound channels, and in-person events
  • Relationship management: Partner with top sellers and strategic partners to build big businesses on Whatnot; build and execute seller growth plans to unlock category growth
  • Marketing and growth: Spearhead marketing initiatives such as influencer partnerships to boost brand awareness and attract buyers
  • Data analytics: Use basic SQL to derive insights from projects and drive process efficiency; use data to assess category growth and identify areas for improvement

Qualifications

  • Graduating by Summer 2027
  • Passion for Whatnot’s mission and communities
  • Internship experience in fast-paced, client-facing role with a track record of rapid, iterative work
  • Scrappy and flexible in ambiguous environments
  • Problem-solving, strong project management, and ability to own strategy and execution on an emerging marketplace
  • Business acumen, highly analytical, comfortable manipulating data to drive actions
  • Interest in breadth-first learning before specializing (breadth over depth initially)
