About the role
Technical practitioner in pre-sales and delivery orchestration, responsible for in-depth technical discovery, live build sessions with executives, and authoring the 90-day technical roadmap that converts paid diagnostics into embedded pods.
Responsibilities
- Technical discovery inside client environments
- Map unfamiliar mid-market stacks fast (CRM, ERP, finance tools, home-grown spreadsheets, undocumented automation)
- Run deep-dive protocol during Intensive sessions (screen-share, data-structure probing, integration surface mapping)
- Own data-collection instruments (interview guide, screen-share protocol, process inventory)
- Operate safely in regulated or sensitive contexts (de-identified exports or synthetic datasets)
- Pre-build scaffolding for executive use cases to deliver a clickable first version in under an hour
- Debug live during first-time-builder sessions without embarrassing executives
- Calibrate demos to reveal gaps clearly and avoid overpromising
- Author end-to-end 90-day technical roadmap with outcomes, sizing, sequencing, prerequisites, and team composition
- Design roadmaps to fit the delivery model (half foundation, half client-specific outcomes)
- Consult delivery engineers on feasibility prior to presentation
- Pass internal feasibility-and-margin gate and ensure honest scoping
- Arm the presentation so roadmaps sell without the presenter in the room
- Develop fast proofs-of-concept on client data when needed
- Maintain the opportunity library with reusable patterns
- Contribute to the diagnosis system and fix data-stack issues
- Support engineering hiring via live assessments
- Observe and co-score technical interviews to help build the delivery bench
- Support and mentor enablement activities (bootcamps, workshops)
- Contribute to security/compliance considerations (data processing, synthetic data)
- Mentor or teach internal enablement activities
- Spanish or Portuguese for internal collaboration (advanced)
Qualifications
- Client-facing engineering experience (4+ years) as a solutions engineer, sales engineer, technical consultant, or full-stack engineer with non-technical stakeholders
- Hands-on AI build depth: shipped solutions with LLM APIs, agent frameworks, retrieval pipelines, workflow automation; strong GitHub or live product evidence
- Ability to map unfamiliar business systems quickly (CRM, ERP, spreadsheets, APIs)
- History of accurate scoping with at least one example of scope reduction or refusal
- Strong business-writing skills: roadmaps readable by non-technical executives
- Professional fluency in English (spoken and written)
- Willingness to work US business hours aligned to client time zones
- Comfort with operating in regulated environments and handling data responsibly
