About the role

On-site, full-time apprenticeship for a hands-on garage door technician who will diagnose, repair, and install garage door hardware and components. This role emphasizes earning through a 100% commission model, customer-facing work, and a structured training path.

Responsibilities

  • Physical work with springs, cables, rollers, openers, motors; repair and install all garage door components.
  • Diagnose problems and communicate with homeowners as a professional.
  • Execute repairs and installations; handle lifting (75+ lbs), bending, kneeling, climbing ladders, and working in extreme temperatures.
  • Sell services; commission-based pay with no cap.
  • Maintain customer trust and ensure work quality from start to finish.

Qualifications

  • 21+ years old
  • Valid driver’s license with 3+ years driving record
  • Ability to lift 75 lbs and perform physical work in extreme temperatures
  • Some hands-on mechanical experience or comfort with tools (home services, auto shops, hospitality, DIY)
  • Willingness to undergo criminal background check, drug test (THC excluded), and driving record
  • Basic tech comfort (apps, tablets); reading/math for measurements and payments
  • No sales experience required (training provided)
