About the role

Emerging Markets Lead responsible for 0-to-1 growth of a new banking product in MENA. Focus on building partnerships, managing relationships with banks and fintech ecosystems, and driving regional expansion from Dubai with travel to the region and occasional travel to San Francisco.

Responsibilities

  • Lead regional market development: Identify, evaluate, and execute high-value partnerships with banks across multiple international markets.
  • Build and maintain key relationships: Primary relationship owner for prospective and existing customers, conduct in-person meetings, attend local industry events, manage ongoing partnership development.
  • Own partnership execution: Lead complex deal processes from outreach to contract signature, collaborating with Legal, Compliance, and Product teams.
  • Develop market intelligence: Gather insights on local market conditions, regulatory developments, competitive landscape, and customer needs.
  • Market expertise and network: Become an expert on correspondent banking in key emerging markets and build a broad network within banking and fintech ecosystems.
  • Drive operational excellence: Build scalable onboarding, relationship management, and support processes for expansion.

Qualifications

  • 6+ years of experience in partnerships, business development, growth, operations or strategy in a high-caliber environment
  • 4+ years of business experience specifically in MENA
  • Native fluency in Arabic and experience managing business relationships with Arabic-speaking clients and stakeholders
  • Track record of managing complex partnerships and high-value deals with executive stakeholders
  • Natural networker with ability to build trust and long-term relationships with senior executives and decision-makers
  • Strong strategic thinking to assess market opportunities, evaluate partners, and advise senior leadership
  • Hyper-organized project management skills; ability to coordinate across multiple teams and manage multiple priorities
  • Scrappy, hands-on attitude with willingness to build a business and work hard to achieve goals
