About the role

Senior Software Engineer in UiPath's Vertical Solutions team, building an AI agentic orchestration platform and core orchestration engine for enterprise AI automation. High-visibility, high-impact role contributing to Act 2 strategy.

Responsibilities

  • Build and Scale: Design, develop, and maintain full stack for Vertical Solutions products leveraging AI Coding Assistants.
  • Hands-On Development: Write production-quality code daily, leveraging AI tools to enhance development workflow
  • Prototype and Ship: Take ideas from Prototype to production-ready systems based on customer validation
  • Measure what matters: Design evaluations, measure quality against real customer data, and interpret metrics honestly
  • Customer-Centric Engineering: Understand users and translate needs into technical solutions
  • Ensure Reliability: Contribute to highly scalable, reliable distributed systems that enterprises depend on

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's/Master's degree in Engineering, Computer Science or equivalent experience
  • 7+ years of software engineering experience, with 4+ years focused on distributed systems and backend architecture
  • Strong proficiency in system-level languages (JavaScript, C#, Java)
  • Full-stack experience across backend services and frontend (REST/GraphQL APIs, UI integration)
  • Experience with React, TypeScript, or similar frontend frameworks
  • Experience building production AI systems (LLMs, tool-calling, multi-agent architectures, orchestration frameworks)
  • Distributed systems experience including idempotency, replayability, state management, long-running jobs
  • Strong analytical thinking with quantitative reasoning about system quality
  • Comfort with ambiguity and rapid prototyping
  • Nice-to-have: Healthcare/Finance/Procurement tech experience, data science and evaluation, ML techniques, large-scale data platforms, RAG, trustworthy AI, experimentation and metrics, retrieval systems, 0→1 product environments, open-source contributions
  • Proficiency with cloud (Azure, AWS, GCP) and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes)
  • Hands-on experience with AI coding tools (GitHub Copilot, Claude Code, etc.) and integrating into workflows
