About the role

Technical Account Manager focused on solving complex customer problems on the MongoDB platform, engaging with marquee customers, providing technical leadership, and guiding roadmap conversations to deliver positive account-wide outcomes.

Responsibilities

  • Engage with a handful of large customers to build relationships with technical leaders and collaborate on projects to scale MongoDB solutions
  • Resolve questions and demonstrate solutions related to architecture, performance, recovery, security, and related areas
  • Act as an expert resource on running MongoDB at scale and identify deep dive opportunities to educate customers or connect them with MongoDB subject matter experts
  • Mentor and ramp new team members and contribute to knowledge of new product lines
  • Serve as the eyes and ears of the product team by surfacing new requirements or opportunities from customers
  • Pivot between enabling, coaching, mentoring, and marshaling resources to get things done at the right time
  • Work around customer schedules for 100% uptime systems while maintaining work-life balance
  • Pioneering the new Technical Account Management service offering at MongoDB
  • Check in with customers to ensure they are successful and satisfied with MongoDB and its developer data platform

Qualifications

  • 7+ years of relevant experience
  • Strong communicator and collaboration skills
  • Ability to work independently and cross-functionally
  • Problem solving under pressure with calm technical leadership
  • Technical expertise in building, maintaining, tuning, and troubleshooting production database systems
  • Familiarity with modern service architectures and development lifecycles
  • Experience with large-scale enterprise technologies and any cloud services (AWS, Azure, GCP)
  • Experience with MongoDB or distributed version control systems (e.g., git) is a plus
