About the role

Marketing Lead to expand MongoDB’s AI-native marketing strategy and strengthen presence in the India startup and AI/Digital-Native ecosystem. Focus on ecosystem engagement, community building, and scalable startup programming across India, including hackathons, demo nights, founder dinners, and conference activations.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as a MongoDB representative within the India startup ecosystem by building and maintaining relationships with founders, operators, VCs, accelerators, and ecosystem partners
  • Drive high-value startup acquisition by developing and executing a targeted strategy to engage and convert startups into the MongoDB for Startups program
  • Expand MongoDB’s physical presence in India through a regional event strategy focused on founder programming, including VC-partnered events, demo days, hackathons, founder dinners, and community activations
  • Partner with startups to highlight success by surfacing and developing stories of startups building on MongoDB
  • Own cross-functional alignment for the regional startup audience by collaborating with MongoDB Ventures, Regional Marketing, Strategic Events, Sales, and Builder Relations
  • Measure impact and optimize programs by tracking startup engagement metrics and using insights to refine strategy

Qualifications

  • 4+ years of experience in marketing, community, ecosystem, or events roles focused on startups, developers, or technical founders
  • Experience leading projects or programs and collaborating across teams, with ability to drive initiatives from strategy through execution
  • Familiarity with the Indian startup ecosystem and relationships with founders, VCs, accelerators, and founder communities
  • Experience working with startups or venture capital firms, with understanding of how early-stage companies operate and grow
  • Ability to thrive in fast-moving environments and scale programs, partnerships, and community initiatives
  • Highly organized and execution-oriented, capable of managing multiple initiatives and stakeholders while delivering high-quality programs
  • Data-driven with ability to track engagement metrics and communicate impact to stakeholders
  • Clear and confident communication with founders, investors, and senior internal stakeholders
  • Ownership mindset and initiative in a globally distributed team while maintaining active presence within the India AI startup ecosystem
