About the role

Industry Solution Leader to design and deliver enterprise AI solutions for Oil, Gas & Chemical with a focus on Process Optimization and Network Optimization. Leads cross-functional teams to define opportunities, architecture, deployment, and scale of AI-enabled solutions in midstream/downstream oil & gas operations.

Responsibilities

  • Own the overall solution strategy, technical direction, and delivery outcomes for assigned customer engagements, from problem definition through production deployment and scale.
  • Serve as the primary customer-facing solution leader and domain expert, understanding customer operations, equipment, processes, constraints, and business objectives.
  • Identify and quantify high-impact business opportunities across equipment reliability, maintenance, production performance, process optimization, throughput, yield, quality, energy efficiency, and operating economics.
  • Translate engineering and operational challenges into tractable AI, machine learning, optimization, and software problems with defined requirements, success criteria, and business value.
  • Lead engagements through use case definition, requirements gathering, solution architecture, application configuration, validation, production deployment, user adoption, and scale-out.
  • Apply engineering and industry expertise to challenge assumptions, evaluate technical approaches, interpret analytical results, and ensure solutions align with fundamentals and realities.
  • Lead cross-functional teams of Forward Deployed Engineers, data scientists, product managers, engineers, and industry experts to drive customer outcomes.
  • Collaborate with customer engineers, operators, reliability teams, maintenance organizations, and executives to validate requirements, workflows, and impact.
  • Guide interpretation and use of industrial data (process signals, equipment attributes, operating states, maintenance history, production data, alarms, quality data, etc.).
  • Maintain accountability for solution quality, business value, risks, delivery progress, adoption, and executive communication.
  • Partner with product management and engineering to identify reusable capabilities and scale solutions across assets and facilities.
  • Support sales during opportunity assessment by defining problems, approaches, value, requirements, deployment strategy, and demonstrations.
  • Develop statements of work and deployment plans with clear scope, deliverables, data needs, risks, timelines, and resources.
  • Develop repeatable industry methodologies, solution patterns, and best practices; represent C3 AI in customer, industry, and technical forums.

Qualifications
