Responsibilities

  • Own the overall solution strategy, technical direction, and delivery outcomes for assigned customer engagements, from problem definition through production deployment and scale.
  • Serve as the primary customer-facing solution leader and domain expert, understanding customer operations, equipment, processes, constraints, and business objectives.
  • Identify and quantify high-impact opportunities across equipment reliability, maintenance, production performance, process optimization, throughput, yield, quality, energy efficiency, and operating economics.
  • Translate engineering and operational challenges into tractable AI, machine learning, optimization, and software problems with defined requirements and business value.
  • Lead engagements through use case definition, requirements gathering, architecture, configuration, validation, deployment, user adoption, and scale-out.
  • Apply engineering and industry expertise to challenge assumptions and ensure alignment with realities of operation.
  • Lead cross-functional teams of Forward Deployed Engineers, data scientists, product managers, engineers, and industry experts.
  • Collaborate with customer engineers, operators, reliability teams, maintenance organizations, and executives to validate requirements and impact.
  • Guide interpretation and use of industrial data (process signals, equipment attributes, states, maintenance history, production data, alarms, quality data, etc.).
  • Maintain accountability for solution quality, value, risks, progress, adoption, and executive communication.
  • Partner with product management and engineering to identify reusable capabilities and scale solutions across assets and facilities.
  • Support sales during opportunity assessment and capture, defining problems, approaches, value, requirements, deployment strategy, and demonstrations.
  • Develop statements of work and deployment plans with clear scope, data requirements, risks, timelines, and resources.
  • Develop repeatable industry methodologies, solution patterns, and best practices; represent C3 AI in forums.
