About the role

Internship role at Meta focusing on maintaining and enhancing large-scale multi-vendor networks through automation, monitoring, and production-quality engineering. Work alongside experienced engineers on backbone, data center, and production networks to develop and deploy network designs and performance improvements for a global user base.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and maintain multi-vendor, multi-protocol datacenter and backbone networks
  • Define, and develop optimized network monitoring and automation systems
  • Partner alongside engineers on code and systems in production to support billions of users

Qualifications

  • Currently enrolled in a full-time degree-seeking program (Bachelor's, Master's, or PhD) in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related technical discipline
  • Experience with computer networks
  • Experience in UNIX, TCP/IP, network fundamentals, or similar
  • Experience coding in at least one language (Python and C++ heavily used)
  • Ability to learn new concepts around network design and management
  • Must obtain work authorization in the country of employment at the time of hire and maintain ongoing work authorization during employment
