About the role

Marketing leadership role to establish and refine the Chai brand, improve communication to diverse audiences, and build platforms and playbooks to extend reach. First marketing hire focused on authentic, persuasive brand storytelling, events, and recruitment/partnership efforts in a fast-moving AI and biotech context.

Responsibilities

  • Make key moments count at JPM, partner events, and AI/science conferences where we need to stand out
  • Build platforms that give founders and researchers more reach
  • Make Chai more legible and compelling to engineers and researchers, including those with no background in biology
  • Put a playbook in place so we can move faster

Qualifications

  • Brand builder with taste and operational discipline
  • Ability to set creative direction and manage agencies, while also hands-on enough to rewrite headlines, fix slides, chase event vendors, and handle detail work
  • Experience building at least one respected technology brand
  • Possible background as founding marketing team member at a high-growth startup, leading brand or creative at a design-forward company, or running experiences at a firm known for them
  • Biotech or pharma experience isn't required; genuine curiosity and quick learning ability
