About the role

Strategy role focused on framing and solving hard business questions, embedding with teams to drive decisions from primary research and quantitative analysis to implementation in a fast-growing AI-biotech startup.

Responsibilities

  • Frame problems and scope work
  • Conduct primary research with customers and outside experts
  • Build the quantitative business case and reach a conclusion
  • See decisions through to implementation, not just memo completion
  • Embed with teams on problems ranging from scaling lab capacity and compute to talent strategy
  • Influence across teams to land decisions that are durable in the business model

Qualifications

  • Structured, quantitative thinker with ability to produce conclusions from inputs
  • Experience influencing across teams and driving decisions to land
  • Comfort with justified assumptions under incomplete information and revisiting them
  • Experience pulling and connecting data points to form a larger picture
  • Background likely in management consulting, venture or growth investing, or quantitative research; experience in strategy or special projects at a high-growth tech company; data science or CS a plus
  • Biotech or pharma experience not required; ability to learn technical domains quickly
