About the role

Founding Recruiter to design the operating system for talent acquisition and lead full-stack recruiting from sourcing to closing for Trajectory’s mission-driven team.

Responsibilities

  • Build the talent operating system: identify exceptional people, assess fit, and attract them to Trajectory.
  • Design an efficient interview pipeline from first intro to offer in the shortest possible time
  • Build systems that keep candidates in Trajectory’s orbit (socials, coffee chats, intros) and encode scalable context for tailoring the process
  • Source the top 0.1%: run always-on talent mapping, referrals from hires/investors, and proactive outreach to non-traditional channels
  • Go where top talent is but not actively looking: open source, papers, conferences, competition circuits, campus hubs, online follow graphs
  • Close: build personalized closing plans grounded in motivations, blockers, timeline, and mutuals
  • Collaborate with founders to handle the unscalable last mile from process start to closing

Qualifications

  • - Systems thinker who can turn ambiguity into clear processes, decisions, and automation
  • - Willingness to own the last mile: hosting tailored events, selecting thoughtful candidate gifts, and bending process to move the needle
  • - Taste for talent in technical and unusual roles
  • - Excellent communicator capable of building trust and adapting messages to candidates, founders, and teammates
  • - Metrics-driven with the ability to define and monitor recruiting funnel metrics
  • - AI-oriented: familiarity with tools like Claude Code, Grok Bot for dashboards, automations, and scalable processes
  • - Highly proactive and low ego
