About the role

Senior BOM Sourcing Engineer responsible for end-to-end supply chain for Anduril’s Intelligence & Space product line, including engineering BOM analysis, supplier onboarding, cost management, and cross-functional collaboration to optimize time, cost, and risk across NPI and production.

Responsibilities

  • Deep dive into engineering Bill of Materials (BOM) with engineering to ensure parts can be sourced and procured at target levels
  • Conduct supplier selection leveraging approved list and onboard unique vendors for Space & Intelligence needs
  • Drive on-time delivery and innovative lead-time solutions for the Space industry
  • Partner with strategic suppliers to accelerate product development (concept scoping, trade-off analyses, should-cost models, joint design development with clear statements of work, design simulations)
  • Develop and consolidate manufacturing BOM to ramp production with high flexibility
  • Manage total program cost including NPI and mass production
  • Value-stream mapping to optimize lead time and flexibility of supply network
  • Complete BOM risk assessments with alternate sourcing options
  • Ensure completion of component qualifications prior to production
  • Reduce complexity via commonality optimization and supplier rationalization
  • Lead cost engineering activities to converge cost curve to product cost and maximize TCO
  • Manage ad-hoc cost issues (tariffs, import/export costs, cost inflation)
  • Address supply issues to ensure on-time delivery at or below target cost

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering or other technical field
  • 8+ years of experience in sourcing engineering, supplier engagement and development, or design of electronics and/or mechanical devices
  • Domain expertise in value/procurement engineering or TCO at component/product level
  • Eligible to obtain and maintain an active U.S. Secret security clearance
  • Ability to travel 10% - 40% of the time
  • Ability to relocate to onsite in Ashville, OH
  • Role will be temporarily based in Santa Ana, CA for 3 months of training before transitioning to Ashville, OH
