About the role

Senior NPI Supply Chain Engineer responsible for end-to-end supply chain ownership of Anduril’s Intelligence & Space hardware across its lifecycle, including engineering support, supplier onboarding, sourcing, pricing, and cost management of the total BOM.

Responsibilities

  • Deep dive into engineering BOM and ensure parts can be sourced/procured at target costs
  • Conduct supplier selection and onboarding for Space & Intelligence needs
  • Drive on-time delivery and minimize lead-times in space industry context
  • Partner with strategic suppliers to accelerate product development (concept scoping, trade-off analyses, should-cost models, joint design development, simulations)
  • Develop and consolidate manufacturing BOM with Engineering/Quality/Manufacturing to ramp production
  • Manage total program cost (NPI and mass production)
  • Conduct value-stream mapping to optimize lead time and flexibility
  • Complete BOM risk assessment including alternate sourcing
  • Ensure component qualifications before production
  • Reduce complexity through commonality and supplier rationalization
  • Lead cost engineering to converge cost curve to product cost and maximize total cost of ownership
  • Manage ad-hoc cost issues (tariffs, import/export costs, cost inflation)
  • Address supply issues to ensure on-time delivery at/below target cost

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering or other technical field
  • 8+ years of experience in sourcing engineering, supplier engagement and development, or design of electronics and/or mechanical devices
  • Domain expertise in value/procurement engineering or TCO at component/product level
  • Eligible to obtain and maintain an active U.S. Secret security clearance
  • Ability to travel 10% - 40% of the time
  • Ability to relocate to be onsite in Ashville, OH
  • This role will be based temporarily at Santa Ana, CA for a 3 month training period before transitioning to Ashville, OH
