About the role

Senior Sourcing Engineer responsible for strategic supply network development and cost management of Anduril’s product hardware across lifecycles, partnering with suppliers and cross-functional teams to drive NPI sourcing, BOM optimization, and cost efficiency.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct supplier selection for a specific product, leveraging approved supplier list.
  • Partner with strategic suppliers to accelerate product development via concept scoping, feature trade-off, TCO modeling, joint design development, and simulation of mechanical & electronics designs.
  • Drive commercial development and execution of sourcing strategy via full market knowledge, supplier rationalisation, and commodity pricing plan.
  • Drive the development and consolidation of a manufacturing BOM, working with Quality & Manufacturing, to ramp production internally and with suppliers with high flexibility.
  • Accountable for all NPI component procurement, on-time and correctly, to scale up manufacturing operations.
  • Manage the request for and associated verification of supplier related CAPEX throughout NPI.
  • Conduct value-stream mapping to optimize supply network lead time and flexibility.
  • Complete BOM risk assessment and develop per-part analysis plan.
  • Follow through completion of component qualifications by relevant stakeholders ahead of production need dates.
  • Reduce complexity of supply chain through commonality optimization & supplier rationalisation.
  • Lead all cost engineering activities to converge the bottoms-up cost curve to product cost, maximizing TCO across the product lifecycle.
  • Manage ad-hoc cost issues (tariffs / import export cost, cost inflation).

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering (BSME, BSEE) or other related technical degree.
