About the role

Software Engineer to join the Battlespace Awareness team, providing software engineering support for core tools and helping stand up ML infrastructure to optimize system parameters and detect performance regressions in CI.

Responsibilities

  • Provide software engineering and development support for core tools used by the Battlespace Awareness team.
  • Help stand up new ML infrastructure to improve how the team optimizes system parameters.
  • Detect performance regressions in CI (continuous integration).

Qualifications

  • Professional experience in Python, Rust, C++, or C with a clear track record of using these languages professionally
  • Solid software engineering fundamentals, including object-oriented programming, functional programming, and REST API design
  • Experience building low-latency or real-time software
  • Experience with software testing, including Robot Framework testing and integration test development
  • Comfortable using AI coding assistants (Claude or Codex) as part of day-to-day workflow
  • Experience with GitHub and CI/CD pipelines
  • Machine learning background particularly in: Hyperparameter optimization, Anomaly detection, Explainable ML (e.g., Bayesian ML)
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States
  • Eligible to obtain and maintain an active U.S. Secret security clearance
