About the role

Senior technical leadership role leading the technical vision, architecture standards, and delivery for Oddball Labs in the federal-focused space; hybrid location in the DMV area with in-office presence in Rosslyn, VA.

Responsibilities

  • Lead our technical vision and set architecture standards for Oddball Labs.
  • Manage a small team of engineers and work with product managers.
  • Ensure scalable, reliable, and future-proof products and tools.
  • Define and implement ideas through agile experimentation and delivery cycles.
  • Support growth and sales efforts with technical leadership and hands-on contribution when needed.

Qualifications

  • 7+ years of experience in software engineering / systems architecture / technical leadership roles.
  • Deep understanding of performance, scalability, security, reliability, observability.
  • Polyglot experience across cloud platforms (AWS / Azure / GCP), containerization, microservices, distributed systems.
  • Experience with infrastructure as code, CI/CD, and deployment pipelines.
  • Experience deploying applications to production environments.
  • Excellent communication skills to explain architectural trade-offs to engineers, product stakeholders, and leadership.
  • Business alignment mindset to translate strategic objectives into actionable technical roadmaps.
  • Experience leading and managing engineers and raising technical maturity.
