About the role

Supervise and lead a group of laborers and contractors to enable the build and activation of infrastructure for a variety of SpaceX Starbase projects.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee day-to-day site supervision of a fast-paced construction project, including: supervising a team dedicated to construction site logistics/operations, planning and enforcing site logistics, managing SpaceX construction assets, enforcing safety policies, field coordination and conflict resolution, managing site logistics (deliveries, offloading, inventory, storage, staging), ensuring jobsite cleanliness, creating and enforcing schedules for workers and subcontractors with engineering/project management, maintaining a daily job site log for reporting to management
  • Oversee procurement and execution of specific construction projects delegated by engineering & project management, including providing budgetary costs, gathering and assigning contractor proposals, developing final cost and schedule, implementing cost/schedule/scope controls, coordinating project implementation and status, coordinating with end users and facilities for operations/maintenance, supervising night shift contractors as needed
  • Make changes to operations to meet deadlines and escalate issues to engineering/project management to ensure schedule and quality

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalency certificate
  • 2+ years of professional experience in engineering, construction management, architecture or facilities management
