About the role

supervise and lead a group of laborers and contractors to enable the build and activation of infrastructure for multiple projects at Starbase, ensuring safety, logistics, scheduling, and cost/schedule control.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee day-to-day site supervision of a fast-paced construction project, including: supervising a team focused on site logistics/operations, planning and enforcing site logistics to support project goals, managing SpaceX construction assets, enforcing safety policies, driving safety culture, daily field coordination and conflict resolution with contractors and internal partners, managing site logistics (deliveries, offloading, inventory, storage, staging of materials), maintaining jobsite cleanliness, creating/enforcing/iterating worker/subcontractor schedules with engineering and project management, maintaining a daily operations log and reporting to management.
  • Oversee procurement and execution of specific construction projects delegated by engineering & project management: provide budgetary costs based on preliminary scope, gather proposals and award contracts, develop final cost and schedule, implement controls, coordinate project implementation and status, coordinate with end user and facilities team for operations/maintenance, supervise night shift contractors as needed.
  • Make changes to operations to meet deadlines, triage issues to engineering & project management to ensure schedule and quality

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalency certificate
  • 2+ years of professional experience in engineering, construction management, architecture or facilities management
