About the role

Supervise and lead a group of laborers and contractors to enable the build and activation of infrastructure for SpaceX Starbase projects, with emphasis on site logistics, safety, budgeting, scheduling, and coordination with engineering and facilities.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee day-to-day site supervision of a fast-paced construction project; manage construction site logistics, including work schedules, project progress, and resource allocation
  • Plan, implement, and enforce construction site logistics to enable broader project goals and schedule
  • Manage SpaceX construction assets (trailers, portas, rental equipment, etc.)
  • Implement and enforce SpaceX safety policies; drive safety culture on the jobsite with contractors and internal partners
  • Daily field coordination and conflict resolution for contractors and internal partners
  • Manage site logistics including deliveries, offloading, inventory, storage, and staging of SpaceX purchased materials
  • Maintain jobsite cleanliness
  • Create, enforce, and iterate on worker/subcontractor schedules in collaboration with engineering and project management
  • Maintain a daily operations log and report to management as necessary
  • Oversee procurement and execution of delegated sub-projects; provide budgetary costs based on preliminary scope
  • Gather proposals from contractors and award contracts; develop final cost and schedule for sub-project with controls
  • Coordinate project implementation and track status; liaise with end user and facilities for building operations and maintenance
  • Supervise night shift contractors as needed
  • Make operational changes to meet deadlines and triage issues to engineering/project management to ensure schedule and quality

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalency certificate
  • 2+ years of professional experience in engineering, construction management, architecture or facilities management
