About the role

Lead and supervise a team of laborers and contractors to enable construction, activation, and operation of Starbase infrastructure projects, with emphasis on safety, logistics, cost and schedule control, and coordination with engineering and facilities teams.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee day-to-day site supervision of a fast-paced construction project, including managing construction site logistics, work schedules, project progress, and resource allocation.
  • Plan, implement, and enforce construction site logistics to enable project goals and schedule.
  • Manage SpaceX construction assets (trailers, portas, rental equipment, etc.).
  • Implement and enforce SpaceX safety policies; drive safety culture on the jobsite with contractors and internal partners.
  • Coordinate daily field activities and resolve conflicts among contractors and internal teams.
  • Manage site logistics, including deliveries, offloading, inventory, storage, and staging of materials.
  • Maintain jobsite cleanliness.
  • Create, enforce, and iterate on schedules for workers and subcontractors with engineering and project management teams.
  • Maintain a daily log of site operations and report to management.
  • Oversee procurement and execution of specific construction projects as delegated; provide budgetary costs based on preliminary scope.
  • Gather proposals from contractors and assign contracts; develop final cost and schedule for sub-projects and implement controls for cost, schedule, and scope.
  • Coordinate project implementation and track status; liaise with end users and facilities teams for building operations and maintenance.
  • Supervise night shift contractors as required.
  • Adapt operations to meet construction deadlines and triage issues to engineering & project management to ensure schedule and quality.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalency certificate
  • 2+ years of professional experience in engineering, construction management, architecture or facilities management
