About the role

Supervise and lead a group of laborers and contractors to enable the build and activation of infrastructure for a variety of projects at SpaceX Starbase, ensuring safety, schedule, and cost controls.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee day-to-day site supervision of a fast-paced construction project including: supervise a team dedicated to construction site logistics/operations, plan and enforce site logistics, manage construction assets (trailers, porta-potties, rental equipment), implement and enforce SpaceX safety policies, drive safety culture, daily field coordination and conflict resolution for contractors and internal partners, manage site logistics (deliveries, offloading, inventory, storage, staging of materials), maintain jobsite cleanliness, create and enforce schedules for workers and subcontractors with engineering and project management, maintain daily log of operations and report to management
  • Oversee procurement and execution of specific construction projects delegated by engineering & project management: provide budgetary costs, gather proposals, assign contracts, develop final cost and schedule, implement controls for cost/schedule/scope, coordinate project implementation and status, coordinate with end user and facilities team for operations and maintenance, supervise night shift contractors as needed
  • Make changes in operations to meet deadlines, triage issues with engineering & project management to ensure schedule and quality

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalency certificate
  • 2+ years of professional experience in engineering, construction management, architecture or facilities management
