About the role

Security Engineer (OT) to design, implement, and operate security for Operational Technology (OT) networks supporting launch, vehicle, test, and production at SpaceX. Hands-on security software and network engineering working with on-prem and data center environments.

Responsibilities

  • Design, implement, and operate security for OT networks supporting launch, vehicle, test, and production.
  • Design network and security architectures and produce diagrams and design documentation.
  • Write and deploy software that runs in OT and on-prem network environments.
  • Automate on-prem and data center networking.
  • Implement network segmentation and access control in OT environments.
  • Monitor, detect, and respond to security issues on OT networks.
  • Partner with engineering, IT, and site teams.
  • Document architectures, standards, and operating procedures.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or another STEM discipline; OR 2+ years of professional experience in security software development in lieu of a degree.
  • Experience with Python, Go, C#, C/C++, or Rust.
  • Experience designing and implementing security solutions for operating systems, distributed systems, or other enterprise / large-scale infrastructure.
