About the role

Menlo Security is building MARS for Agents (Menlo Agent Runtime Security), a category-defining product line for securing autonomous and hybrid AI agents. The role owns end-to-end delivery for a technically complex surface within MARS for Agents, with autonomy, agile practices, and collaboration across engineering, sales, and field enablement.

Responsibilities

  • Own inbound product direction for your area. Research emerging agentic AI capabilities, attacker techniques, and adjacent standards to determine what MARS for Agents should build next across the agent registry, Claude integration, Microsoft Copilot integration, MCP Server, MCP Proxy, and LLM proxy.
  • Turn signal into engineering-ready requirements. Translate market, customer, and competitive input into clear PRDs, user stories, and acceptance criteria using AI tools while owning the judgment calls and accuracy of written content.
  • Own and groom the backlog. Prioritize across surfaces with Head of Product guidance and partner with engineering through full build cycle.
  • Validate before you specify. Prototype and stress-test proposed behavior with hands-on experience using MCP clients and agent runtimes to ground requirements in actual agent behavior.
  • Enable the field. Maintain current capability documentation and brief technical support/solutions engineering on new and existing capabilities.
  • Engage customers, sales, and marketing. Gather requirements from customer/prospect conversations, support technical evaluations, and work with product marketing on messaging and launch content.
  • Run competitive analysis that changes decisions. Track competitors and maintain a point of view, feeding findings into requirements and roadmap prioritization.

Qualifications

  • 6–10+ years of product management or product owner experience, ideally in B2B SaaS, enterprise infrastructure, or security software, with end-to-end ownership of a complex surface.
  • Ability to write clear, engineering-ready requirements (PRDs, user stories, acceptance criteria) and own a backlog for a technically complex product surface.
  • Comfort operating with a high degree of autonomy and high-velocity Agile environment.
  • Solid working knowledge of AI agent technology, MCP ecosystem (servers, clients, tool calls) at a depth sufficient to write MCP Server/Proxy requirements.
  • Real cybersecurity background with familiarity in identity and access management, proxy/gateway architectures, and content/traffic inspection.
  • Hands-on experience with AI tools (Claude, ChatGPT, Copilot, etc.) and exposure to MCP/tool-calling integrations.
  • Strong written communication for specs, FAQs, and enablement material.
