About the role

Senior Software Engineer (SDE-3) at UiPath, Bangalore, on-site, responsible for leading development efforts within a team to deliver robust, scalable, production-ready software for the UiPath Automation Suite cloud-native platform.

Responsibilities

  • Lead development efforts within a team of engineers across the full software development lifecycle, ensuring robust, scalable, production-ready and reliable software.
  • Incubate new ideas and create a roadmap for areas of focus.
  • Lead analysis of complex technical issues and technology choices, communicating decisions to the team and stakeholders to drive consensus.
  • Act as a liaison between engineers, product managers and other stakeholders.
  • Help hire and recruit technical talent; ensure deliverables meet customer expectations.
  • Be accountable for software deliverables regarding quality, security, scalability, modifiability, extensibility and testability.
  • Help establish effective and agile engineering practices across teams.
  • Mentor and provide technical leadership to a team of engineers.
  • Act as a face of the product to onboard customers/partners and ensure their continued success.
  • Analyze product usage and operational data to drive systemic improvements across the product.
  • Adhere to security and compliance standards and work with security/compliance teams to address issues.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 7+ years of experience in developing large-scale applications.
  • In-depth knowledge of the CNCF ecosystem, including Kubernetes and cloud-native tools.
  • Proficiency in one or more OO programming languages (Go preferred; others: C#, Java, C++, Python, Rust).
  • Hands-on expertise in data structures, algorithms and real-world applications.
  • Strong understanding of object-oriented programming, multithreading, synchronization, and cloud-native design.
  • Advanced knowledge of Linux, CI/CD pipelines (Azure Pipelines, ArgoCD, FluxCD), and microservices architecture.
  • Experience with AWS, Azure, or GCP.
  • Proven expertise in building high-availability services, web service development, and SOA.
  • Strong skills in system architecture, design, coding, debugging and problem-solving.
  • Customer-focused mindset with ownership and accountability.
  • Proactive, adaptable and entrepreneurial with bias for action.
  • Ability to take initiative, navigate ambiguity and drive impactful results.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
