About the role

Senior Program Ops Manager to develop and execute strategies to grow the Airbnb Platform in Japan, align country functions behind common objectives, and lead cross-functional growth programs with a focus on analytics, governance, and execution.

Responsibilities

  • Analyze to enable robust strategy building
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align on program goals, requirements and execution plans
  • Operationalize strong cross-functional governance to execute strategy and deliver results in the market
  • Serve as the point of contact for multiple cross-functional teams in-country and in-region/central for feedback and insights on key launches
  • Build analyses and frameworks to support country decisions to achieve goals
  • Own potential growth programs (e.g., incentive programs, sponsorship programs, events) and adapt as strategy evolves
  • Own and support execution of the country’s origin guest growth plans

Qualifications

  • 8+ years experience in analytics, strategy and project management
  • Experience in tech platform industries; hospitality or OTA preferred
  • Track record of leading and delivering complex programs with cross-functional teams
  • Strong strategic thinking, analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Bias for action and execution with entrepreneurial perspective
  • Ability to thrive in dynamic, ambiguous environments and drive results quickly
  • Strong appetite for working with the Airbnb community
  • Excellent organizational skills and ability to multi-task
  • Attention to detail and macro-level outcomes
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and stakeholder management skills
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced startup environment; resilience and learning from mistakes
  • Proactive and comfortable handling uncertainty and ambiguity
  • Data-driven mindset and passion for new products
  • Proficiency with Excel, SQL
  • Strong English and Japanese verbal and written communication skills
  • Availability to go to the local office 1-2 days per week
