About the role

Role at Edviro: engineer focusing on building physics-informed AI for energy infrastructure, including modeling electrical/thermal/energy systems, developing agents for control within safety and equipment limits, and RL loops for multi-objective optimization and long-horizon operations.

Responsibilities

  • Model electrical, thermal, and energy systems using sparse, noisy data.
  • Build agents that plan and execute tasks within equipment and safety limits.
  • Create RL loops for multi-objective optimization and long-horizon operations tasks.
  • Connect models to facility systems. Test their decisions against real operating conditions. You’ll be helping lead directly on our first data-centers deployments.

Qualifications

  • You’re a strong programmer with depth in machine learning, scientific computing, or systems engineering.
  • You can take an unfamiliar problem, understand the fundamentals, and build a solution without a detailed spec.
  • You’re interested in RL loops or scaling AI for energy as a proxy for understanding the physical world.
  • Experience with physical systems, time-series modeling, or controls is useful. We care more about the quality of your work than the length of your résumé.
  • Send us something technically difficult you’ve built or researched. Tell us what you contributed and what you learned.

Skills

Required:Programming (general)Machine Learning / RL
Nice to have:Scientific computing / time-series modelingSystems engineering / controls

About Edviro

Energy world models that fix energy waste before it becomes expensive.

Edviro helps facilities managers at large buildings save on their energy bills. Facilities managers are overwhelmed with dashboards, alarms, and analytics for hundreds of boilers, HVAC units, and heat pumps across their buildings. Edviro continuously monitors and optimizes buildings using energy world models to detect anomalies, simulate interventions, and suggest the best options to the facilities manager. Once the changes occur, we create a comprehensive M&V report to ensure savings show up on the bill. Our tools also allow institutions to maintain detailed service history & equipment logs, and perform maintenance with AR.
