About the role
Counsel role supporting Starlink in Europe and Africa, focusing on telecommunications and internet services regulatory compliance and policy.
Responsibilities
- Advise the Starlink team on laws, regulations, and policies affecting the business in Europe and parts of Africa, particularly telecommunications and internet services
- Analyze legal and regulatory risks and communicate them to the business and technical teams to enable sound compliance decisions and to support telecommunications and other business licensing in Europe and Africa
- Monitor legal and policy developments related to the Starlink business
- Interface with governmental agencies periodically concerning regulatory, consumer protection and law enforcement matters
Qualifications
- 5+ years of professional experience with regulatory compliance matters in the telecommunications industry related to broadband and/or satellite services
- Juris Doctor, Bachelor of Laws or equivalent degree from an accredited institution
- Active license to practice law in at least one jurisdiction
