About the role

Finance Director responsible for the financial strategy, planning, and execution for the Fury program within Anduril’s AD&S line, including ongoing collaboration with program managers, engineering leads, and leadership to enable rapid development, production ramp, and fielded operations while maintaining rigorous financial controls and earned value management.

Responsibilities

  • Daily partnership with Senior Leaders within AD&S to bring first class financial expertise and support to the business.
  • Manage the processes for financial forecasting and budgets, and oversee the preparation of business line, product and program level financial reporting.
  • Own the financial oversight and management for a portfolio of large, complex, and mission-critical programs
  • Manage and scale a dedicated team in line with the needs of the business by developing and hiring best-in-class talent and implementing best practices and tools to ensure a well-controlled yet flexible finance organization.
  • Lead the development of executive-level reporting and present financial insights to senior management.
  • Evaluate financial performance by comparing and analyzing actual results with forecasts, highlighting trends and analyzing causes of unexpected variances.
  • Work with senior AD&S and corporate finance leaders to identify and implement ways to improve business performance and finance systems, tools and processes.
  • Get deep in the operations and support the team in creating bottoms-up, data-driven models to understand segmentation, pricing optimization, scenarios, and financial returns of our products and investments.
  • Own performance dashboards, alerting, and investigation into KPI health. Assess the impact of financial decisions on KPIs while developing strategies which drive demonstrable impact against these metrics.
  • Develop deep relationships with our customers (both internal and external) and oversee customer program reporting, monthly invoicing, and monthly financial status reporting.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field; MBA or CPA/CFA a plus.
  • 15+ years of finance experience in Big Tech, Defense, Large Manufacturing, or Government contracting, with 3-5 years in a senior leadership position.
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel, financial modeling and data analysis, and experience with ERP/financial reporting tools (e.g., Oracle Fusion, Oracle EPM, Anaplan, Foundry).
  • Demonstrated track record of owning problems end-to-end in a finance function.
  • Intellectually curious with a drive to understand the why behind the numbers.
  • Highly technical with precision and ability to dissect complex quantitative problems.
  • Critical thinker capable of evaluating problems from multiple angles.
  • Results-oriented with a can-do attitude.
  • Excellent written and oral communication, strong consensus-building and negotiation skills.
  • Creative problem-solver able to identify obstacles and propose viable solutions.
  • Comfortable in fast-moving, ambiguous environments.
  • Interest in a broad scope of problems and readiness for highly visible, accountable roles.
  • Authorized to work in the United States; security clearance eligible.
