About the role

Process Technician focused on operation and maintenance of vacuum and cryogenic systems (IDCA production) to support cooled infrared camera components.

Responsibilities

  • Execute Vacuum & Cryogenic Processing: load dewars onto vacuum pumps, perform LN2 boil-off procedures, track pump cycles, daily gas collection and evaluation.
  • Monitor & Troubleshoot Systems: use Residual Gas Analyzer (RGA) to monitor pump cycles, screen for irregularities, debug to ensure process integrity.
  • Maintain Equipment & Cleanroom: regular maintenance on vacuum pump systems, dewar leak checks, maintain cleanliness and stocking of LN2 and materials in lab/cleanroom.
  • Document Processes & Data: create and maintain IDCA documentation, travelers, data entry per established procedures.

Qualifications

  • Associate's degree in a technical field or equivalent practical experience; 5-10 years in similar manufacturing or process environment.
  • Experience operating and troubleshooting high vacuum systems, leak checkers, and Residual Gas Analyzers (RGAs).
  • Strong fine motor skills and hand-eye coordination; proficiency with hand tools and mechanical/electrical measurement equipment; ability to read mechanical drawings and rudimentary schematics.
  • Strong adherence to procedures, detail-oriented; proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel); infrared technical experience is a plus.
  • U.S. Person due to access to export controlled information or facilities.
