About the role

Anduril Industries is seeking a Materials Manager to optimize warehouse operations, develop metrics, and lead a high-performing team in Santa Ana/Costa Mesa, CA. The role emphasizes process improvement, ERP/WMS implementation, inventory control, and alignment with government property and inventory management policies.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement material management strategies, policies, and procedures to comply with regulations.
  • Hiring & training talent who can manage material flow per Anduril guidelines.
  • Develop processes that increase efficiency and reduce waste in materials management.
  • Implement systems that match Anduril Federal policies on management of government property & inventory management.
  • Implement end-to-end material management measures (FIFO, material variances, cycle time optimization, scrap/obsolescence management, cycle/physical counting, audits) and develop/ improve critical metrics.
  • Collaborate with procurement, production, manufacturing engineering, logistics, and quality to aid demand forecasting, procurement planning, and timely delivery of materials.
  • Collaborate with production planning and manufacturing to align material availability with production schedules and meet customer demand on time.
  • Analyze material usage trends and implement lean practices to optimize handling, storage, and distribution.
  • Utilize ERP & WMS to track inventory, generate reports, and provide data-driven insights.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, safety standards, and quality control in material management.
  • Lead and develop a high-performing warehouse team with guidance, training, and performance feedback.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, logistics, business administration, or equivalent work experience
  • 5+ years in material management, inventory control, or supply chain roles in aerospace/defense manufacturing
  • 2+ years managing a lead of supervisors, associates or technicians
  • Ability to be onsite, local to Santa Ana, CA or Costa Mesa, CA
