About the role

R&D Welding Technician responsible for building and qualifying weld processes, hardware, qualification test articles, and large structural assemblies to support a new welding capability ramp in Hadrian’s fast-moving R&D environment.

Responsibilities

  • Fabricate and weld qualification test articles and large structural assemblies in support of a new welding capability ramp.
  • Perform hand welding using both laser and arc processes on first-of-a-kind hardware.
  • Set up and execute orbital tube welding operations to spec.
  • Operate and support robotic welding cells, including setup and troubleshooting.
  • Read and build to engineering drawings, weld symbols, and GD&T, and maintain build documentation to support qualification and traceability.

Qualifications

  • Hands-on experience with hand welding, both laser and arc processes.
  • Experience with orbital tube welding.
  • Experience operating robotic welding equipment.
  • Ability to read engineering drawings, weld symbols, and GD&T.
