About the role

Senior Product Manager focused on designing and shipping social experiences around investing and trading at Kraken. Owns product decisions, prototypes interactions, and collaborates with design and engineering to create engaging social features with measurable outcomes.

Responsibilities

  • - Design complete social journeys from discovery to follow, sharing, responses, and return; integrate interactions into a coherent, explainer-free experience.
  • - Shape navigation, information hierarchy, copy, defaults, gestures, and feedback; specify behavior for empty feeds, failed posts, slow loads, and changes of mind.
  • - Prototype before build; create interactive prototypes, explore alternatives, test uncertain parts, and provide clear flows, states, and acceptance criteria to engineering.
  • - Apply psychology to improve participation; translate motivations into decisions about visibility, prompts, reputation, feedback, and contribution effort.
  • - Observe users and fix obstacles; run usability sessions, analyze funnel data, identify misunderstandings, lack of confidence, or abandonment points.
  • - Design for first use and repeated use; keep sharing lightweight during active trading, with clear public control, and test early versus later interactions.
  • - Connect design decisions to measurable outcomes; define expected behavior, test plans, and track metrics; collaborate with data science on experiments and effects on contributors and audiences.
  • - Take the experience through launch; focus scope, resolve trade-offs with engineering, review implementation, and use post-launch evidence for improvements.

Qualifications

  • - Designed and shipped consumer social experiences with a portfolio showing feeds, profiles, sharing, messaging, discovery, or communities and post-launch impact.
  • - Strong interaction design craft; ability to justify flow structure, focal points, and simplification opportunities.
  • - Ability to build realistic interactive prototypes using tools like Figma, code, or AI tools; demonstrate transitions, empty states, and failure states.
  • - Evidence-driven design; shown how user research challenged assumptions and changed designs.
  • - Ability to own product outcomes; prioritize problems, define success, interpret funnel and cohort data, and assess experiment results.
  • - Understanding of social finance context; awareness of credibility, incentives, reputation, and visibility in financial activity.
