Senior Fullstack Engineer on the Customer Context team at Postscript, a fully remote AI-driven SMS revenue platform for ecommerce, focused on building foundational services, APIs, and pipelines with a data-intensive, AI-first approach.

Responsibilities

Take deep ownership of systems and product areas on your team, and become the go-to technical expert for what you own
Independently investigate, design, and execute solutions across distributed systems with a high degree of ambiguity
Architect, build, and maintain highly available, scalable REST APIs and backend services for internal and external use
Drive system decoupling, modularization, and technical debt reduction; improve long-term maintainability without blocking near-term delivery
Build agentically as your default: leveraging concurrent autonomous agent workflows, owning the output, and keeping a steady queue of aligned work moving
Stay at the forefront of emerging AI tooling and practices, bringing new techniques back to the team
Contribute to how we think about integrating AI into our systems and workflows
Collaborate cross-functionally with product, data, and go-to-market teams in an async-first environment
Identify and eliminate single points of failure, improving system resilience and knowledge redundancy
Improve how engineering gets done: build internal utilities, fix workflow friction, bring better tools

Qualifications

6+ years of experience building large-scale data-intensive backend systems and APIs
Active daily user of AI coding tools (e.g., Claude Code, Codex, Cursor, Copilot)
Proficiency in Python, Go, Rust, React, and TypeScript
Strong awareness of AI tooling landscape and best practices
Ability to critically evaluate AI outputs and verify results
Ability to context switch quickly across concurrent workstreams
Experience with 0-to-1 initiatives and complex existing systems
Working knowledge of event-driven distributed systems, Kafka, and distributed data processing technologies (Flink/Spark)
Experience growing systems under production customer load (from early days to multi-terabyte scale)
Experience building and designing high-scale systems on AWS with various databases (RDBMS, OLAP, NoSQL)
Knowledge of relational data modeling and index strategies; SQL for transactional and analytical workloads
Experience with infrastructure as code (e.g., Terraform)
Familiarity with AWS & Kubernetes, observability tools (Datadog, Signoz)
Clear, direct communication; proactive in async cross-functional collaboration
Strong technical tradeoff judgment informed by engineering and business priorities
