About the role

Figure is an AI robotics company developing autonomous humanoid robots. This role oversees the R&D facility for robot use case testing, leading end-to-end workcell builds from design to installation and maintenance to ensure a safe, efficient, and collaborative environment for engineers and operations.

Responsibilities

  • Facility & Space Operations: Oversee daily operations of the R&D facility, keeping the space organized, functional, and optimized for multiple cross-functional teams working simultaneously.
  • Workcell Project Management: Lead R&D workcell builds from design phase to full assembly, commissioning, and preventive maintenance.
  • Space Planning: Strategically map out building floor plans to accommodate incoming equipment, temporary builds, and ongoing operational workflows.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience in space planning, industrial facility management, or hardware project management.
  • Experience using CAD software for 2D/3D facility layout, workcell placement, and spatial planning.
  • Demonstrated track record of managing technical buildouts or workcell projects from concept to completion.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with an ability to keep diverse teams aligned.
  • Low-ego, team-first collaborative style with a pragmatic, 'can-do' approach to daily problem-solving.
