About the role

Senior IT Network Engineer to design, implement, and support SpaceX campus and data center networks, with a focus on routing, switching, WLAN, NAC, and automation in a fast-paced high-tech environment.

Responsibilities

  • Implement, maintain, document, support, and upgrade LAN, WAN, MAN, and WLAN.
  • Install, configure, and support campus and data center networks.
  • Troubleshoot wired and wireless networking issues.
  • Design, implement, and troubleshoot large and complex wireless networks.
  • Support network access control (NAC) using 802.1X.
  • Develop network automation tools to support the enterprise network.
  • Monitor network health using in-house and third-party tools.
  • Create and maintain documentation of the networks.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, computer engineering, or other STEM discipline and 5+ years of professional network engineering experience; OR 8+ years of professional network engineering experience and high school diploma or equivalency certificate in lieu of a degree.
