About the role

Responsible for building, installing, and troubleshooting fluid systems in the Starship production facility, requiring pipe fitting and installation experience.

Responsibilities

  • Fabricate and install fluid system components from a schematic or engineering drawing, including stainless steel/aluminum piping, ball/check valves, pressure regulators, sensors/gauges
  • Read and interpret planning documents, schematics, data sheets/manuals, drawings, blueprints, and engineering sketches
  • Adjust, repair or replace faulty components of ground hardware, test, and integration equipment
  • Connect and verify pressure transducers, thermocouples, and other sensors
  • Complete necessary wiring of the electrical ground support equipment for ground systems
  • Perform high pressure liquid and pneumatic testing
  • Troubleshoot and repair high-urgency operational issues found during activation or production usage of fluid systems

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent certificate
  • 5+ years of experience using basic mechanical and/or electronics hand tools
  • 5+ years of experience with pipe fitting and fabrication
