About the role
Leader on the Product Security team responsible for embedding security into Harvey's engineering organization, shaping the product security roadmap, and leading a team of engineers to deliver secure-by-default solutions across Harvey's production surface.
Responsibilities
- Partner with Senior Director of Product Security to translate broader security strategy into focused priorities and measurable outcomes for the team
- Hire, develop, and lead Product Security Engineers; establish clear ownership and partner with engineering counterparts
- Coordinate with Engineering, Product, Infrastructure, and Security to align security investments with business priorities and platform realities
- Own team planning, prioritization, and delivery; provide technical direction on architecture reviews, threat modeling, and remediation
- Scale impact through automation, developer tooling, and secure-by-default patterns; improve security standards and engineering practices using team learnings
- Communicate risks and progress to engineering leaders; maintain alignment on priorities and drive meaningful security improvements
Qualifications
- Experience managing Product Security or Application Security engineers at a growing technology company
- Strong engineering background with deep expertise in modern application security and cloud-native architectures
- Track record of delivering security improvements through engineering, automation, and close partnership with development teams
- Experience hiring, mentoring, and developing security engineers with focus on technical growth and clear ownership
