About the role

Finance Engineering role focused on buyout deals within Harvey Deals product. Lead discovery, demos, pilots, trainings, onboarding, and custom builds for pre-sales and post-close activities, translating investment workflows into Harvey solutions and shaping product roadmap.

Responsibilities

  • Lead pilots and live opportunities with pre-sales teams (AEs, CSMs) for middle-market and lower-middle-market buyout funds
  • Build screening, underwriting, diligence, and investment committee workflows in Harvey templates/formats
  • Review CIMs, management presentations, QoE/data packs, LBO models, and investment committee materials
  • Monitor portfolios post-close, track add-on pipelines, and provide valuation support
  • Translate deal-teams' needs into product enhancements and drive adoption of AI-assisted workflows
  • Collaborate with senior stakeholders to drive results and collect feedback to shape product roadmap
  • Travel 2–3+ times per month for business reasons (1–3 days per trip)

Qualifications

  • 3+ years on the investment team at a buyout fund (middle-market or lower-middle-market) or growth-buyout/sector-specialist fund, with ownership of live deal work (screening, underwriting, diligence, modeling, IC materials)
  • Investment banking/transaction advisory experience welcome but principal-side deal execution required
  • Strong command of buyout documents/data (CIM, management presentation, QoE, data packs, operating models, LBO, purchase agreements, financing terms)
  • Advanced Excel and financial modeling; comfort with prompting and agentic AI workflows; Python/SQL or internal tools experience a plus
  • Executive presence and relationship-building across analysts to partners and IC members
  • Outstanding communication and presentation skills; comfortable leading demos and technical underwriting discussions
  • Curiosity about AI's potential to transform investment work; practical, action-oriented mindset
  • Track record partnering with senior stakeholders and testing approaches to optimize customer outcomes
  • Customer-facing or commercial experience and/or hands-on AI usage in investment settings is a plus
