About the role

Finance Engineer role focused on real estate within Harvey Deals, driving discovery, pilots, onboarding, and custom builds for real estate investment workflows. First dedicated Finance Engineer for real estate, building playbooks, templates, and leading live pilots while shaping product roadmap and customer outcomes.

Responsibilities

  • Lead discovery, demos, pilots, trainings, onboarding, and custom builds alongside AEs and CSMs.
  • Translate real investment work into Harvey solutions and serve as the trust layer across the customer lifecycle.
  • Build real estate playbooks, including demo library, workflow templates, and use cases; run live pilots and lead the real estate practice.
  • Engage with real estate private equity platforms, real estate debt funds, insurer and asset-manager real estate arms, and developer-investors during pre-sales and beyond.
  • Capture acquisitions-team feedback to influence product development and future Harvey releases.
  • Support asset management reporting, loan compliance, and valuation processes post-close; ensure value compounds after the first deal.

Qualifications

  • 3+ years on acquisitions, asset management, or real estate credit at a real estate PE platform, real estate debt fund, insurer or asset-manager real estate arm, or developer-investor, with ownership of live deal work (screening, underwriting, diligence, modeling, committee materials).
  • Principal-side deal execution required; brokerage, valuation, or investment banking experience on the principal side welcome.
  • Strong command of OM/broker packages, rent roll and T-12, leases/estoppels, third-party reports, loan documents, ARGUS and Excel models.
  • Advanced Excel and financial modeling; comfort with prompting and agentic AI workflows; ability to automate repeated manual processes; Python/SQL or internal tools experience a plus.
  • Executive presence and relationship-building across analysts to partners and investment committees.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills; comfortable leading live demos and technical underwriting conversations.
  • Curiosity about AI’s impact on investment work with a practical, action-oriented mindset.
  • Experience partnering with senior stakeholders to drive results and optimizing for customer outcomes.
  • Customer-facing or commercial experience and/or hands-on AI usage in investment settings are a plus.
