About the role

Finance Engineer on Harvey's investment-side team who translate investment experience into Harvey solutions, leading discovery, demos, pilots, onboarding, and custom builds for private credit clients. Builds credit playbooks, templates, and workflows; travels 2–3+ times per month for business needs.

Responsibilities

  • Lead discovery, demos, pilots, trainings, onboarding, and custom builds alongside Account Executives and Customer Success Managers.
  • Translate real investment work into Harvey solutions across the customer lifecycle, from first pilot to complex custom workflows.
  • Design, build, and refine credit screening, underwriting, and credit committee workflows using Harvey templates and formats.
  • Demos to lenders, guide through AI-enabled capabilities, and gather credit-team feedback to influence product roadmap.
  • Develop and deliver credit-related playbooks, demonstration libraries, and workflow templates; run live pilots and post-close compliance activities.
  • Collaborate with senior stakeholders to drive outcomes and expand adoption of Harvey Deals for private credit.
  • Travel 2–3+ times per month for significant business needs (1–3 days per trip).
  • Capture and relay feedback from credit teams to product for future releases.

Qualifications

  • 3+ years on the investment or underwriting team at a direct lender, private credit fund, BDC manager, or insurer private credit arm with live deal experience (screening, underwriting, diligence, modeling, structuring, and drafting credit committee materials). Asset-based and specialty finance backgrounds welcomed; principal-side deal execution required.
  • Strong command of credit decision documents and data (lender presentation, CIM, QoE, data packs, models, credit agreements, intercreditor arrangements, compliance certificates).
  • Advanced Excel and financial modeling; comfort with AI workflows; experience building internal tools with Python/SQL is a plus.
  • Executive presence and relationship-building skills across analysts to partners and credit committees.
  • Outstanding communication and presentation skills; able to lead live demos and technical discussions on covenants and underwriting assumptions.
  • Curiosity about AI's potential in investment work with a practical, action-oriented mindset.
  • Track record partnering with senior stakeholders to drive results and optimize for customer outcomes.
  • Customer-facing or commercial experience and/or hands-on experience using AI tools in an investment setting is a plus.
