About the role

OpenGov seeks a GTM Engineer within the Applied AI team to optimize Sales/GTM use cases across the revenue organization (SDR outbound, AE pipeline, and CSM renewals) by building AI-native workflows, integrations, and automations that turn revenue signals into seller actions. The role combines technical GTM engineering with product ownership of in-house systems, aiming to redesign revenue motions with AI and ensure adoption, governance, and measurable impact.

Responsibilities

  • Own the AI-native signal-to-action layer for Sales: design, build, and improve agents and automations that convert signal into qualified SDR sequences, AE actions, and CSM actions with clear human review points before outreach.
  • Build for AE and CSM workflows: provide deal-risk and next-best-action surfaces for AEs and account-health/renewal-risk signals for CSMs across the full revenue lifecycle.
  • Serve as product owner for in-house systems: drive roadmap, prioritization, and quality bar for revenue systems built by the Applied AI team.
  • Design human oversight for every agent: implement approval gates, escalation paths, and ownership boundaries so SDRs/AEs/CSMs stay in control.
  • Build evaluation frameworks for agent behavior: seed scenarios, scoring rubrics, and regression checks to prove agent effectiveness before/after production.
  • Instrument and monitor production agent activity: track model/tool calls and tie actions to pipeline/revenue outcomes.
  • Map and redesign seller workflows with an AI-native lens: collaborate with SDRs/AEs/CSMs/RevOps to prioritize AI-driven improvements.
  • Do GTM engineering that connects revenue systems: integrate with Salesforce, Outreach, Gong, and third-party sources; avoid duplication across initiatives.
  • Partner with AI platform/data engineers: translate business needs into technical specs and own outcomes on the business side.
  • Serve as primary AI capability advisor for Sales: evaluate build-vs-buy, compliance considerations, and scope/timeline expectations.
  • Drive adoption and change management for tools built: ensure usage, trust, and iteration based on user feedback.
  • Maintain a living AI roadmap across Sales: track ideas, in-flight projects, impact, and reprioritize as needed.
  • Keep impact visible to executive leadership: regularly report on conversion, pipeline contribution, and renewal outcomes; align with Applied AI leadership.
  • Communicate progress, priorities, and blockers clearly to stakeholders.
